Amadeezy’s epic mini-album 2 LIT 2 QUIT just came out and already EVAR Records and the Bass Boss have decided to hit you with a staggeringly good remix pack that spans the hottest producers of the global underground. While Amadeezy’s originals update the hard synths and huge kickdrums of ’90s hard house sound for a new era, these eight remixes explore territories including trance, changa tuki, baile funk, and breaks.
The cutting edge sounds coming from South American and North America are a standout on this remix EP. Venezuelan sensation DJ BABATR
is the genuine architect of Raptor House, so he makes perfect
sense to rework “Choose Violence.” The king of “raptor house” turns the original into a hypnotic banger with all sorts of delicious loops, driving kicks and breaks.

Heading over to Argentina, Buenos Aires bad boy El Plvybxy also explores the “hardchanga” sound with his remix of “Go Berserk,” which adds Jersey bed squeaks and thug swagger to a bed of pumping Latin house. Fellow Venezuelan Dagga (now living in Colombia), a fast rising name in dark breaks and bass, leaves Latin percussion behind and dives into spooky, spiraling gangster tranz on his version of “Paradoxx.”

Heading further north, Monterrey, Mexico’s prolific and always surprising Regal86 flips “Tales of Glory” into a g-funk jungle roller that’s both mellow and hard. Representing Los Angeles to the fullest, queen of global bass and rave Bianca Oblivion shows why she’s the dancefloor dominator as she whips “Tales of Glory” into a terrifyingly good symphony of horror-film hoovers and hard baile beats.

Elsewhere around the globe, Oakland’s bass boundary-pusher Bastiengoat fuses big breaks and funhouse hardcore, while London’s Shawn Cartier channels donk and nu-metal vibes with whooping frog percolators on various versions of “Go Berserk.” Rounding things off, Amadeezy’s longtime friend and mentor LIL INTERNET trance-pills the title cut into a four-minute fantazia of soaring arpeggios and nightcore e-motions.

The extended remix pack reeks of respect – all of these remixers are Amadeezy’s friends and contemporaries and you can tell they understood the assignment and his original intent with the 2 Lit 2 Quit EP.
